Architectural Competition - Ullswater Sailing Club

Axis Architecture entered a national competition to design a new sailing clubhouse for Ullswater Sailing Club in the Cumbrian Lake District. The competition was organised by the Club in association with the Royal Institute of British Architects Competitions Office.

The project was co-ordinated by Natasha Fulcher a student of architecture working in our project office, gaining work experience, following successfully completing her honours degree in architecture. The project director was Chris Cook with John-Paul Rogers acting as design and technical consultant. All submissions had to be presented on one A2 size board.

There were 180 entries in all and only 3 are selected to move forward to the next round, unfortunately Axis's entry was not one of them, however we were pleased with our own entry and it was a good team effort with some interesting challenges.
