NEW WAREHOUSING UNITS FOR SLOUGH ESTATES
Axis Architecture was commissioned to develop the initial schemes produced by Slough Estates Construction Department and provide architectural services through to final certificate in partnership with the Department. The final unit was completed in June 2000.
The scheme is a speculative development of warehousing with integral offices by Slough Estates PLC for purchase or rent.
The scheme comprises two sites with five units in total. The first site accommodates a small and a large detached unit plus a pair of medium semi-detached units. The second site accommodates a single large unit.
The total gross floor area is 10,560 sq. metres (113,680 sq.ft.) of which approximately 10% is high quality office and amenity accommodation. The office accommodation is arranged at first floor level with a small office/reception at ground floor level. The scheme has been design to allow additional office accommodation to be easily added in part of the ground floor warehouse area by the Tenant.
The development has achieved BREEAM certification demonstrating a high standard of environment friendly features.
