Extension to the church hall of the Church of the Resurrection, Farlington

Axis has recently completed their latest project with the opening of the new extension to the hall of The Church of the Resurrection, Farlington.

The new extension links the original church and hall, providing disabled access facilities, reception lobby, second function room, church office and toilet facilities, together with a refurbished hall, kitchen and gardens.

A Community grant from Veolia helped to pay for the disabled access facilities.

A state of the art platform lift allows easy transfer for prams, wheelchair users and ambulant disabled between the church and the hall. A new access ramp and stepped approach has also been provided to the main south entrance to the church, the ramp leading directly from two new dedicated disabled car parking spaces.

Axis Director and project architect, Chris Cook, worked closely with Rev'd Dr Steve Summers and his Parish Team to produce a facility fit for the 21st. Century.

Chris said "It was a great privilege to work on this project which was carried forward on a tide of enthusiasm from both the client and the contractor's teams".

The new facilities are a great asset to the church and the community and are available for hire.
