Axis Architecture was commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to extend a large industrial unit in Segensworth to accommodate a ground floor workshop area with two stories of open plan offices above. The extension would also provide the opportunity to move the reception to a more convenient location at the junction between the new extension and existing building.
Axis went further than the original brief in providing a design that emphasised the new main entrance. The bold darkly clad structure also incorporates a roof-top plant area, and clearly defines the two parts of the building and provides a definite visual focus from the nearby roundabout.
Autodesk Revit was used to create the photorealistic image above.
