RESIDENTIAL FEASIBILITY STUDY - TWIXTHILLS
Axis Architecture was commissioned to undertake a feasibility study for a privately owned site near Newbury, West Berkshire. The client wanted to explore the option of replacing the bungalow and barn (converted to an office) occupying the site with a number of residences.
It was considered appropriate to increase the residential density of the site by providing a block of 13 no. two bedroom flats. The flats are distributed over three storeys, with the top storey being contained within the roof space to minimise the visual and physical mass of the building.
Using a combination of three-dimensional CAD modelling, photo-rendering and photo-editing, we were able to produce these photo-realistic images to create an accurate impression of how the building would look in the context of the site. These images could then be used to approach the Planning Authority, enabling them to give an informal suggestion as to the overall viability of the scheme, before a formal application is made.
