Axis Architecture since 1994

Cams Hill School

– Fareham, Hampshire

Axis worked closely with the head teacher, and the main contractor to realise the school’s design brief which required a new entrance, reception, library, drama studio, events hall and office.

The Axis design team had to overcome numerous challenges including limited space and a collection of contrasting styles of the existing buildings.  The final design was a bold two-storey structure with a subtle curving and white coloured render to the façade.  The new main entrance and reception provides an obvious and welcoming anchor to the school.  The finished extension provides a new public image for the school and additional up-to-date facilities for the pupils.

This project was also a cause for further celebration for Axis as it was our 1000th project.

Axis Architecture continue to work closely with the school, completing further projects to deliver a new dance studio and sports changing facilities with a dedicated sports classroom. Axis continue to help modernise the school by working with a reliable team of consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget.
