Jubilee School Change of Use

– Waterlooville, Hampshire

Hillcrest Care acquired the lease on this 1960s built office building for conversion into a DFE registered independent school for boys and girls with SEBD aged between 8-16 years.

Existing internal walls were demolished and new walls erected to provide new classrooms and other teaching areas.  Bold colours were used in the food teaching areas to help brighten the space.

The entire building was refurbished, requiring new ceilings, re-wiring, and new floor finishes throughout.  The materials were chosen based on the demanding use of the building to ensure a durable teaching environment.

A new glass canopy was installed to clearly identify the main entrance.

The conversion was completed within budget and the school opened on time for summer term in 2014.
