Axis Architecture since 1994

Private House – Seamead

– Stubbington

This one-off house by architects in the 1960’s was in need of renovation and modernisation. The original house had been designed with a modern appearance with a flat roof throughout. Axis Architecture was appointed to propose a renovation which would improve the appearance of this house.

Our design sought to be simple and contemporary; using timber in a contemporary way and inserting glass elements with the aim of meeting the clients brief. This site is highly exposed to wind, therefore where Solar Photovoltaic panels were proposed they were to be installed beneath the parapet line to shelter from wind exposure.
